Really cool music to ...

... storm the castles with. Great new anthems for those of us who can't get enough of the big, epic sounding style of metal. This band sounds like they could lead the charge into battle anytime.

Epic mixture of different Bands!

First off Starkill used to be called Massakren for those of you who dont know. However Starkill is even better. They play many sub-genres of metal at once which gives them a big epic sound compared to many other bands. If you were to take the best symphonic elements from dimmu borgir, stormlord, or others, with black metals furious riffing and speed from the likes of immortal, iskald, and keep of Kallessin, then toss in melodic death metal from epic beasts such as amon amarth, children of bodom, and and others in a giant epic bowl, then consume it all at the same time this band would be the epic creation of all that is STARKILL. This band is insanely good on every level, the music, the mixture of many genres, the best shredding solo's on guitar ive heard in 10 years or more, the clean tight production, and the epic album cover, on every level possiable this band disintegrates all matter, but me, I personally enjoy being disintegrated because when its this epic and fun, its worth all your time and money. Buy the album, not a single bad song on it, and hails to Starkill eternally:)

While not truly their first as noted by a previous reviewer, Starkill's "first" offering stands out of the crowd. In this album, Starkill chose aspects from several genres of metal, most noticeably black, power, and melodic death, and combined them to create a unique and polished sound.

Fires of Life is full of skilled guitar work, non stop blast beats, and plenty of keyboard, and is sure to keep the interest of any discerning metalhead. No filler here!
