An inverted, abrasive world

Katie-Jane Garside from Daisy Chainsaw, Queenadreena, and Ruby Throat goes electronic, but this isn't merely Katie-Jane's voice played over some beats. Corps Electriques is a complex, beautifully layered album with french artist Hector Zazou's signature style. Corps Electriques is a look into an inverted, abrasive world, an exploration of the soft spaces within a strange universe. Recommended tracks include "Apostrophe," "Butterfly plaintif" and "Ice Flower."

Oh wow!

Katie Jane Garside never ceases to amaze me. My only question is, how did I NOT know about this album??

Follow the bread trail...and a feast awaits you!

I am thankful that I was not born too soon, nor too late to experience her astounding journey as it unfolds in real time. Hector and Katie Jane are a dream pairing, and they have
found a way to beautifully infiltrate our waking world.

This early work is light but engaging French chamber jazz, lyrical and quirky, with Zazou playing keyboards and violin. The music has long since lost any radical edge, and the sparse instrumentation gives most of the pieces more the sound of musical sketches than fully realized compositions, but in ZNR, Zazou begins to demonstrate...
