Technical metal at its best

I just discovered this awesome group. Fans of bands like Meshuggah and Sol Niger Within will definitely approve. At times this reminds me of Dream Theater's heavier moments in their instrumentals and passages in their darker songs, with bent ostinatos and really imaginative unison grooves. There's lots of odd time signatures and fast changes to keep listeners interested and guessing at what will come next.

One of the best executed albums of 2008

In case you didn't know, the odd tech metal sound comes from Ron Jarzombek, the frontman of this band, who is extremely talented. The bassist is Alex from Cannibal corpse, and I'm pretty sure their drummer is of Behold... the Arctopus. Brain Fingerprinting is by far the best song. The first track is good, and shows the songwriting abilities, but Laser Lobotomy and Amnesia show their talent the best. Night Terror and Bleeding In the Brain are probably the heaviest. And Adenosine Buildup and Adenosine Breakdown are mirror images of each other music wise, in other words the second one is the first one backwards.

these guys are scary good at what they do. THIS IS METAL AT IT'S BEST! this album is a must have.
