Good album

This album is a good addition to any techno music library. The sound is a sort of trance/club. Close Encounters is pretty addictive. I can't get it out of my head... and thats a good thing.

E.M.S. - homemade synths and drummachines, this rules

Groove Magazine Review
Following up on the original vinyl released earlier in 2004, the cd version of Sychronaut adds five new tracks. with a distinctively deep, dark analog sound that harkens back to a mix of early acid, Detroit techno, and Classic Elektroids, the reocrd is packed with 4/4, relentless 16ths of percussion, and robotic vocals of the 80's b-boy sound. Brisk and biting, tracks like "Close Encounters and "Get Ghetto" establish an oppressive almost nostalgic
electro piece that lubricates the ear canals, being plush and synthetic at the same time, and "Rhythmus Machine" slows down to an introspective crawl, its sensuous knob twiddling making the piece grow and rise like a post-massive dawn. EMS has put together these extra pieces with as much care and attention as his homemade instruments. HIGHLY recommended' by Alex Reynolds Groove Magazine

Catchy, satisfying

It's textural and catchy. Something you can listen to in the background while building time machines or flame-throwing robots, yet memorable enough to stick in your head afterward. A good beat to take over the world to.

Genre: Electronic

Growing up programming games for the Commodore 64 computer sparked Stephen Machnowski's interest in building his own electronics, specifically synthesizers. He uses his home-built synths and drum machines for his E.M.S. project (the initials stand for Electro Music Specialist). Influenced by electric beats he heard in new wave and the electro and rap breakdancers favored, Machnowski plays a robotic style of neo-electro that caught the attention of the Satamile label. After a series of singles, E.M.S....
