An Edgy Statement of Independence

Rodriguez is long departed from the days of her bright pink-hued hair as one third of the pop/r&b trio “OMG”. Miss Beauty is all grown up and takes on themes of reveling in ones own independence and freedom. On “My Life” she declares that a love interest would only cramp her style. While on “Rockstar” she says she’s too preoccupied counting her money to give any guy attention. The production is strong and current, easily insertable into any modern R&B playlist. The most impressing thing about this project is the individual growth she’s shown. Her music is no longer about crushes but rather the fact that she’s ok living her best life on her own. Her vocals are beautifully smooth like honey and her style seems elevated. I’m looking forward to seeing just how far she’ll go.

The greatest 💕

I cant expect anything less than perfection 🤩❤️

Yasss I’m in love with take 3

About Bahja Rodriguez

Contemporary R&B vocalist Bahja Rodriguez joined the OMG Girlz at the age of 12. Though the pop-R&B group, co-developed by Xscape's Tameka Cottle, released several singles and went on some high-profile tours, they split in March 2015, before they were able to issue an album. Rodriguez quickly landed on her feet as an independent solo artist and had a handful of singles — including "Jealous Type," "Lipstick," and "Next One" — out by the end of 2015. Stylistically, these tracks were in the sleek, understated realm of Jhené Aiko and Tinashe. Additionally, Rodriguez released It Gets Better, a seven-track EP that featured Jacob Latimore on "Ride or Die."
