how i am the first, and only, person to post a comment on this album blows my mind. On Time, is probably one of the most influential and prolific jazz albums of the twentieth century. Take Five, is an incrediable song where Brubecks passion and talent for composission shine. BUY THIS ALBUM!

The album he's thinking of is "Time Out" from 1959. Only two of these songs come from that album. From what I can tell this is a 'greatest-hits' compilation-one that's cleverly titled to confuse people! That said, check out the live version of "Besame Mucho" (don't confuse it with "Besame Mama"!), it really swings.

compilation

Seems to be a compilation to me, too.

jjayobs, Take Five is Paul Desmond's composition, not Brubeck's.

And as rock & roll began to dominate...
