iTunes Review

Busta Rhymes’ excellent 1997 album When Disaster Strikes looked positively casual when compared to the album that followed it. A fiercely focused and highly energized extravaganza, Extinction Level Event shows Busta’s raw rap pedigree in delirious collision with the mainstream. At this point he was doing everything his way. The album’s singles—“Gimme Some More” and “What’s It Gonna Be?!”—showcase an otherworldly ability to create pop hits from unpredictable rhythms. His fame was growing, but he still rapped with the hunger of a newcomer. Even on the filler tracks, he emerges in a whirl of momentum and expertise.

great but

Not all the tracks are on here. Best to buy the actual CD to get what you pay for.

Busta Bust and something!!

I can remember getting paid on the same day this CD came out, hopping on the #22 bus, getting dropped off at the Target and buying this CD and a new sony cd player with the radio built in. This CD was the sound track to my high school year..

Busta Rhymes - E.L.E.

This is my favorite Busta album. This pretty much defined him. His charisma and craziness were top notch on this album and it also the first album where he had speed-rap tracks (Gimme Some More, Iz They Wildin Wit Us). This album is definitely worth buying!!
Its also one of the last real hip hop albums. (Until Busta drops E.L.E. 2 and Nas drops "Life is Good" this year!!!)
You want some real hip hop? Buy this. And anything by The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and 2Pac. I'm glad Nas and Bus are bringing good stuff back!! Lil Wayne, Drake, and all them sucky new school rappers bout to lose they're jobs!!!

The most idiosyncratic personality in rap and possessor of its most recognizable delivery, a halting, ragga-inspired style with incredible complexity, inventiveness, and humor, Busta Rhymes formed Leaders of the New School in 1990 and released two albums with the group before breaking out with a 1996 solo hit single, "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check." Born in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, in 1972 of Jamaican heritage (a definite influence on his rapping style), Busta moved to Long Island in 1983 and,...
