What should have been her comback album in the states went amost completly unheard here. While in Europe Gone was one of the top ten songs of the year. The title track which borrows heavily from 100% Pure Love is pure dance, and the rest of the CD is r&b and soul. Near the end of the cd is a jazz gem I thought we were still in love is worth the purchase of the entire package, but you will get your money's worth with the other singles If your not gonna love me right, and classic remake of I will survive! Which she has!

This Is Amazing...

I remember someone telling me the single "Take Me Higher" was huge in San Francisco and fortunately I was able to obtain the 12" mix of the single. I truly wish the 12" mix of "I Will Survive" was still in print, I've been searching for years. Diana has been overlooked for years by both radio and clubs except for the gay bars, but the gay population is so exclusive pop crossover is almost impossible. Still, her output to date is top notch.

Gone, If You're Not Gonna Love Me Right, I Thought That We Were Still In Love which is better than the next? None, the all come together to deliver one of the best Pop/R & B CD's of the 90's the thing is that they are all timeless. Diana's vocals are on point, This CD has remained top on my most played list since 1995.

With her friends Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, and Barbara Martin, Ross formed the Primettes vocal quartet in 1959. In 1960, they were signed to local Motown Records, changing their name to the Supremes in 1961. Martin then left, and the group continued as a trio. Over the next eight years, the Supremes...
