Great voice, disappointing album

I love Sutton Foster's voice, I could be hearing her the entire day, very few singers can project kindness and wisdom when they sing. But this album may not be the best vehicle for her talent. It may have looked good on paper, but the execution feels amateur, it feels like a student project where the parts have stuburnly refused to take on any of their professor's comments. The mini meddleys are annoying because you want her to keep on singing the song she's started, although thematically the songs are conected, melodically they don't match. But she's Sutton Foster, and she's the queen of my iPod, so I will continue to listen.

She is Queen

I am a huge fan of when she was in Shrek the Musical and even her short lived show, Bunheads, this album is not a disappointment. Yes, she is known for broadway so there is a feel to the entire album, can you blame her? Her voice is amazing and I fall more in love with it each song. If you're a Sutton fan, I know you'll enjoy it. First time listening, may want to listen to some other music before stepping into this album.
