Sludge no more

Are you kidding me? Just like Mastodon, let us forge our new album in the fires of classic rock rip off and melodic vomit. You were a sludge band for a reason, you were metal, this exonerated force that didn't need structure. But there you go, just like Mastodon…just like Mastodon. It's depressing to see. High on Fire is all we got left.

This is just awful. For any genre. Bad mix. Boring. Sounds like a record on slow-mo.

Oh, and...
What's with the stuff passing as metal these days? I find it irritating. I understand the record labels selling cheese to the masses but this is WRONG. Altered genres. There are plenty of bands under the metal genre, tried and true metal bands, out there still putting out albums.


Baroness are one of the few bands that incorporate the whole artistic elements of Rock: great songs and beautiful visuals (come on, John Baizley along with Jacob Bannon create the best cover artworks in the music industry, it's a crime not to buy the physical albums.)
Sounds like the new double album might be the closure to the colors period. An ever evolving band, just what music in general needs right now.
