Customer Reviews

Okay, so maybe I'm just writing this to be the first review...

The title of my review says it all, but I did listen to the clips and my honest opinion is that Takes sounds like their album cover. No, I'm not crazy, I'm not on any special medication, it's not three in the morning, and I'm not high on caffeigne or anything else you could possibly be high on.... I just really think they sound like their album cover. Like, it's kinda simple and boring, but it's got some color. The colors, however, are bold, but not way too bold, nor are they really light like pastels. And the songs are kind of relaxing in a way and I find the picture to be somewhat relaxing as well. And, it kinda looks Indian in a way and the drums in one of the songs sounded kinda Indian (Loro), which is what made me think of comparing the songs to the album cover.... And that's my deep thought for the day. I hope someone is slightly amused by my amazing analogy because I didn't spend much time on it:)

Nicely done...

Very simple sounds and vocals. However I was pleasantly surprised. Takes has a very beautiful calming effect.

lush, haunting---somehow moody and uplifting at once. one of those albums which compels you to go out and buy a hard copy.
