iTunes Review

The fourth solo album from former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland finds her returning to her R&B roots after flirting with electronic dance music on 2011's Here I Am. Citing Stevie Wonder and the late Whitney Houston as direct influences on the album's sophisticated fusion of pop and funk, eyebrow-raising singles "Kisses Down Low" and "Dirty Laundry" show off Rowland's new powerful, no-nonsense persona. Hip-hop stars Wiz Khalifa and Pusha T provide guest vocals, but the highest-profile collaboration on Talk A Good Game is "You Changed," featuring Kelly's former bandmates, Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams.

She was only four at the time, but Houston's 1985 self-titled debut was enough to motivate the little...
