'Talk2Strangers'
Joe Abrams

A Review by Eddie McCracken
Santa Barbara, CA. USA

Shelf presentation: Great eye candy, clever title. The artwork is instantly recognizable, and simple enough to be effective.

General summation comments after playing all tracks:
This is an entertaining collection of songs that are meat for the soul. They command an instant second listen. An album with thought to how each track might compliment the other... not just a song list under one roof. High production value, superb mixing. A sonic treat. This album feels like a big slice out of the artist's life, where he and other listeners could reflect back in 10 years time to enjoy this particular portion out of Joe Abram's life. A very solid entry here. Pull up a chair and enjoy the table that is Joe Abrams.

Track 1 - 'Moving Thru' - The consummate feel good song.
Rating 9 out of 10
Feels like the great Tom Petty may have written this number. Definite highlight track on this album. Easy for the listener to instantly apply it to themselves and take the ride. Bravo!

Track 2 - 'One Heart' -
Rating 8 out of 10
Imagine 'The Cure' with a measure of twang and real bite.

Track 3 - 'It's Your Voice' - International flavor and fun.
Rating 7 out of 10
Interesting from the first note's onset. Lulls you into a false sense of security and then he dazzles you with his brilliant guitar work.

Track 4 - 'Lonely Eyes' - Eclectic solution for what ails the mind of most hungry listeners.
Rating 8 out of 10
'Beatles' meet the 'Pretenders' and party at 'Elvis Costello's' that gets crashed by 'The Clash'. It all fits together elegantly with room to spare.

Track 5 - 'Gypsy Blend' - The tasty warm up interlude thats prepares you for the final track of the album.
Rating 7 out of 10
Find a way to convert this song into a flavored coffee. It's large and tasty, but non-filling. Wets the pallet for 'When You Go'.

Track 6 - 'When You Go' - A song with a terrific baseline that tries to steal the show. Listen deep, and feel the melody under the melody. Pure fun!
Rating 7.5 out 10
This song is to know Joe. Perhaps the track that best sums up and encapsulates it's writer. Genuine frivolous pop believability! Press play now, repeat!
