Customer Reviews

It may not be Ying Yang Twins or John Mayer, but...

XboxCh33rChick is an idiot (see other reviews). There's more to the world than what's on TRL. Ocote's reference to 60's Latin Jazz and 70's soul are balanced with a modern, electronic sensibilty that make their sound not only undeniably catchy but right in step with modern music's trajectory towards a more recombinant, global sound. The Thievery Remix is on point, as usual. El Nino y el Sol is an amazing album (9.99 on i-tunes, what a deal!), not to be overlooked. Check it out!

And you thought electonic chill was dead

I'm an eclectic music lover, and have been listening to electronic chill/acid jazz/mushroom jazz for a decade. This track, and the excellent Thievery Corporation reworking, prove that the genre is here to stay, to grow, to evolve, and yet to always be the perfect soundtrack to life. Brings together elements of Latin jazz, electronica, Seventies ambient and more, and makes you feel like you're chilling in the PanAm lounge waiting for the 747 to whisk you to Sao Paolo. If only ...

So chill.

What else can be said... the original song is beautiful, and the remix is by Thievery Corporation, who's work is consistantly stellar. Buy this immediately.
