EDITORS’ NOTES

For a modern romcom, Badrinath Ki Dulhania boasts a soundtrack with some downright rustic elements—but somehow, it all comes together smashingly. The ensemble title track and “Aashiq Surrender Hua” bring an explosive dance feel, neatly fitting alongside ballads that highlight the character journeys in the film—like “Humsafar” and Arijit Singh’s “Roke Na Ruke Naina”. As a bonus, we’re also treated to a Tanishk Bagchi refresh of the ‘90s disco anthem “Tamma Tamma”, which updates the original Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal vocals with a new rap by Badshah.
