TAPROOT MANUSCRIPT

This entire album by Neil Diamond, Taproot Manuscript, must be listened to in unbroken reverie. Perhaps some lazy rainy afternoon. Neil diamond records this in Africa during the rainy season. With African folklore, churches tribal members and children. Most especially the children. He does this with love and with a great ear for stories and for the psychic senses. He manages to capture how we all feel. How children and churches and tribes and every day folks in Africa field musically, feel about rain about sunshine, and about animals and about relationships. And particularly about fun! All is done with fun, joy, happiness, And mystery. Listen with your psychic senses open and with your soul receptive. I’ve listened to this album over and over again for more than 300 times for sure, from when I first bought it around 1972. I loved it then and I love it now. And I cry even now tears of joy and of sorrow and have memories of love and of mysteries and hopes for people and perhaps a little fear, of what it brings to The world to love people so much.
