It's not "Om" ... it's a different sort of beauty

From a dissociated perspective...

This album isn't too bad. I used to be a "kVlt kiddie", solely listening to traditional black metal and anything else melancholic of nature. I evolved from that phase and appreciate many other kinds of music. As pertaining to Negura, this is not Om, (which I love), but I wasn't expecting a recreation by any means. I went into this with zero expectations and this album is just different. It's not as horrible as the elitist below me would like to admit, but I understand what he means. This isn't the same band, but time shows us that things never remain constant without adapting to the times. This album is very atmospheric and has random "metal" themed music throughout. If you are looking for some good folky, atmospheric tunes this isn't too bad of a listen.

This Album is Great

This is my first exposure to the band so I had no expectations and found this to be truly amazing. There is nothing plodding or monotonous about this album. It is a great ride from beginning to end, from mellow to heavy to mellow to heavy and so on. I recommend to this album to anyone wanting to dabble in black metal as there is just a taste of it throughout..

Formed in 1995 by Hupogrammos Disciple (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Negru (drums, xylophone) under the name Wiccan Rede, the group recorded...
