Customer Reviews

This album never stops with the thrashing and brutal guitar riffs. Also with a commercial sound. This album is well rounded in the since of being underground and mainstream at the same time. I can't put the album down. This makes a great 1st album!

Very Good For A First Album

This album is great. I am hooked on songs like Rizzo, Sp lit, painting the white to gray, and Let Go. Very good album if you are in to any type of metal you need some Chimaira. His voice is very unique and can go from a high pitch scream to a very low one. I highly suggest this and the album Resurrection, as well as Chimaira and The Impossibility of Reason.

My favorite of all their albums...Songs are shorter, but brutal and sound more old school.. buy now!

Their debut album does not disappoint... the production value is a little lower than future work, but does not take away any brutality from this album. Granted the songs are shorter, they are just long enough to keep you wanting more and don't get so long that you want to push the next track button. Sometimes I hear sounds similar to some older KORN albums, but their sound is still unique nonetheless and the singer sounds like he is tearing up his vocal cords when singing... Point is, just buy this album and check out their newer stuff later after you get used to their sound.

The band's mixture of hardcore, metal, and electronics proved to be a big hit back home, as they sold 10,000 copies of their independently issued debut EP, This Present Darkness, leading to an appearance on the now-defunct USA...
