it's metal artists covering the Beatles; think about it... it's brilliant

I think it's great! It's Beatles tunes with a different twist. If those guys didn't like it, do you think they would have recorded these (and that says something about them)? Why not give it a chance? Many of these artists are extremely talented and this is one of the coolest projects to come out all year.

This band is NOT the Beatles, nor did they say they were. Hence the "Butchering the Beatles" It's Beatles lyrics and main guitar licks with a more hard rock outlook. The Beatles were 'hardcore' back in their day but not so much today, so this is the update. There is no doubt that the Beatles are more than 1,000,000 times better but, THEY ARE NOT THE BEATLES it is a cover, and nothing is ever as good as the original, because how could something be better than what its based on. Take to this lightly, the music is for fun. Calm down everyone, no need for outrage because ITUNES doesnt have THE BEST BAND OF ALL TIME.

Some of this is amazing!

It takes a lot of chutzpah to cover the Beatles, being that their original versions are often considered untouchable...anything which moves in any way from those originals will almost always be slagged (classical interpretations notwithstanding). But, that said, some of this is amazing. In particular, "I Saw Her Standing There" is loaded with attitude and it just plain rocks, and I don't think John, Paul, George, or Ringo would mind it at all. Nice stuff, and it's good to hear a generation, 40 years later, playing their interpretations and adding their guitar chops to some of the best pop music ever written.
