iTunes Review

On his first solo release, Puerto Rico’s Hector El Father offers a reflective look at life’s harsh realities. The pounding beats, ringing gunshots, and foreboding violins of “Rumor de Guerra” set a somber tone; “Maldades” picks up the mood and pace with staccato bachata guitar picking, as the streetwise “big papa” references Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, and Pedro Martinez. The versatile singer/rapper also flips styles seamlessly: He delivers a straight-up dancehall performance on “Boom Bye Bye,” then shifts to beautifully melancholy vocals for “Te Encontre.”

This is What Reggaeton is all About.....EL FATHER HAS HONOR HIS NICKNAME.

Asi C' Separan Los NiÑos De Los Hombres...The Bad Boy is a prove of what Hector has been all the way to this point...Calle and Sentimiento...and both sides have never sounded better in an artist before...I liked the fact that Hector did not featured many artists...To show that he's as good alone as he is when sharing a song with any other artist...It's also fun to hear his songs. They are not the tipical raper who pretends to be brave...I find a lot of his writing fun...and entreteining...So sad that now Hector and Don Omar are going to battle in Tiraera... As it appears really clear in some of his songs...(Rumor de Guerra) (Vivo en Guerra} (En Busca de Ti) After being so close friends, but I guess is part of the game...

It's amazing

One of the pioneers of reggaeton, Hector el Father (aka Hector "El Bambino") was half of the trailblazing duo Hector & Tito (aka Los Bambinos) before he embarked on a solo career of his own. Hector (born Héctor Delgado Román) began his solo career with a pair of CD mixtapes, Los Anormales (2005) and Los Rompe Discotekas (2006). The latter was a particularly curious release, for it was issued by Roc la Familia, a newly inaugurated Latino division of The Island Def Jam Music Group, led at the time...
