Stick to the originals...

I really, really like the original versions of these songs - Center of the Sun can even choke me up at times - but these techno-ized versions just cheapen these two songs for me. The remixers take some beautiful arrangements and just turn them into BPM ... boredom (Boredom Per Minute? :) The Carmen and Solarstone remixes (the last versions of each song) come close to honoring the originals - I even really like Solarstone's airy, ambient version in a chilled-out playlist - but unless you are a hardcore collector, you can skip the rest of these tracks without losing any sleep.

Guy below me is an idiot

The originals are Muzak as far as I'm concerned. The Junkie XL mix is brilliant.

The guy below me is an even larger idiot

Why would someone take these excellent songs and turn them into something from the disco era? If you have a headache then this will turn it into a migraine. If you don't, listen to these and expect one shortly. I can assume people take the best of the songs and try remix them hoping to ride the wave of the original songs. It's all about the money. Buy the original CDs and listen to music the way it's supposed to sound. This just ruins everything original about them and makes it sound, well, like crap.
