Looking Back

OK, so White Lion was one of the many Hair Metal bands out there circa late 1980's. Some rockers, some ballads, you know the formula. This one has all of their hits on it. But, I will say that Vito Bratta was one of the most underrated guitarists of that era. His guitar work on the band's version of Golden Earring's Radar Love rocks. As a member of the Class of 1987, the Hair Metal era was in all of it's glory. At least the guys in White Lion possessed talent. I can't say the same for some others like Weener...I mean Winger.


Many great glam metal bands get overshadowed by Warrant, Poison, Ratt, and Skid Row. But White Lion was right up there in talent. They spawned in the late 80s. They suffered from what Anvil suffered from in the Thrash scene. Just came around at the wrong time. Albeit, if they were doing something that Poison and Ratt weren't already doing they would of been on the biggest tours and tickets. Anyway, VH1 classic still airs their videos, especially When The Children Cry and Wait.
