Customer Reviews

A breed apart (and a pleasant surprise!)

So often I buy music from independent artists that, though I may enjoy listening to it once or twice, the music fails to have that quality that draws me in and creates an atmosphere. Channeling the Muse is certainly the exception!
I can listen to tracks like "Serenity," "Rain", or "The Dancer and the Thief" over and over again - discovering something new in the arrangement each time, an unusual quality in most of today's music. Channeling the Muse is one of those rare albums that evokes emotion in the listener. If, like me, you want to listen to music that "means something"... music that draws you in, evokes emotions and holds your attention, you won't be disappointed by this album!

Amazing album

I love every track on this album. There is an incredibly rich feel to the music. It is lush and immersive and substantive, at times playful, and it stands up very well to repeated listening. I never get bored with it - I keep finding something new. It manages to be complex and yet very accessible at the same time, which is so rare. There is a tremendous emotional resonance here, and a truly unique style. This has quickly become my favorite, go-to album. I listen to it when I am writing, and it really helps me be more creative. Truly a treasure.

Enjoyable

I enjoy listening to this album. Each song has its own thematic elements, which keeps the work from getting stale by the end of the compilation. Mr. Hoffman adds a lot of depth to his compositions, keeping the experience fresh through repeated listenings.
