iTunes Review

Like any great pop band worth their salt, Squeeze pumped out stellar singles that have stood the test of time. And like any good writers—of songs, short stories, or letters—Squeeze contextualized time and place. Their songs (“suburban short stories,” as they’ve been called) take you places. You could be brokenhearted on a barstool where the piano man has your number (“Another Nail in My Heart”) or on a seaside respite with other blue-collar folks (“Pulling Muscles

I luv this album

I'm only 13 and my dad and i listen to this in the car all the time and i luv it because the english accents make the songs very cool to listen to and the beats are great

Ultimate Squeeze

A great collection of Squeeze music all in one album. Plenty of catchy lyrics, with riffs and hooks galore. After listening to these songs, you'll know why frontmen Difford and Tilbrook were compared to Lennon and McCartney. This band should have made it bigger than they actually did.

Check out Chris and Glenn solo as well!

This is a classic album. Squeeze were one of the most criminally underrated bands of our time. They were accessible without being ordinary and every song on here is fantastic. If any of you dig Squeeze, you should check out the solo work of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook. There's a fantastic documentary called "Glenn Tilbrook: One For The Road" that follows Glenn on his first solo acoustic tour of America in an RV. He performs many of the songs on this album in the film plus a few more! The film is available on DVD worldwide and has received amazing reviews from Mojo, Q, Uncut and Word magazines in the UK and the Guardian, the Observer, the Washington Post and music mags such as Paste, Harp and Magnet in the US. Difford also has a very cool DVD called "South East Side Story" is outstanding as well. They both have fun myspace pages and their own solo websites.

As one of the most traditional pop bands of the new wave, Squeeze provided one of the links between classic British guitar pop and post-punk. Inspired heavily by the Beatles and the Kinks, Squeeze was the vehicle for the songwriting of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, who were hailed as the heirs to Lennon and McCartney's throne during their heyday in the early '80s. Unlike Lennon and McCartney, the partnership between Difford and Tilbrook was a genuine collaboration, with the former writing the...
