McPhee teams up with ‘Chuck’ star on revamped “Terrified”

Despite already being a strong recording (and viable second single release), a re-worked duet of Katharine McPhee’s “Terrified” with ‘Chuck’ star Zachary Levi presents itself as a surefire future Hot AC hit.

Written by Kara DioGuardi and Jason Reeves, the latter of whom was featured on the album version of the song,“Terrified” is a great example of how well McPhee’s vocals blend on a duet. To make matters better, McPhee gets a suitable partner in Levi, who does not come across as a stunt casting because he can actually sing. Both voices complement each other, and Levi is given more vocal responsibility than Reeves was on the original version. “Terrified” is still as catchy as ever, as it gives off a Colbie Caillat vibe.

With the right push, “Terrified” could surpass “Over It” as McPhee’s signature song.

This might be better...

This might or might not be the right thing to say; no offense of Jason Reeves (he is extremely talented and has an amazing voice in my opinion) but I give this version of Terrified to Zach Levi. Props Levi, I had no idea you had a voice! You are no doubt, blessed! Oh, and I enjoy Chuck. Props on that too.

love the original!

this new version is even better.
