Customer Reviews

Love indubitably.

The first time I listened through it, I was a little iffy...thinking that his previous release was a little bit better. But after a few more listens through, I realized what was throwing me off. When you listen to a CD for the first time, you either love it or dont. The ones you love are generally the ones that things have been done before...whether its the melody or just the style. This CD is out on its own...there is nothing out there as creative as it. So at first listen, you might be thrown off a little...but you are soon to love this CD without a doubt. The brilliance of it overwhelmes me at times and it'll be sure to throw a smile on your face. I have been listening to PRP! for a little over 2 years now. All of the songs on here are ALL his ideas, way back from the start...but his resources were limited to what he had at his house. Now that he has all the resources in the world, his creativity has just begun to open and the amazement of it will blow you away. Purchase this....like NOW. You won't be dissapointed. and if at first you don't fall in love with it, just listen to it again...

Hmmm

Maybe it's just me but I like Dan's old stuff better. With the new version of Madi Don't Leave I just feel like the song lost the personal feeling he put into it when he wrote it. The album's good, yeah, but I just really feel like PlayRadioPlay! lost the home-made ness that I really fell in love with a couple years ago when I found out about him. Anyone agree?

Excellent Work

This is much better than I have expected, and his music has seemed to mature alot, especially since the Jello days. I really enjoy this album, and I believe this sets him apart from alot of the cut and paste artists, despite his similarites to Ben Gibbard... Very Good

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Dan Hunter, the man behind the electronic pop project Playradioplay!, once told an interviewer that he'd been able to score a contract with a major label because "I had already proven that kids want to hear my music before they even came knocking on my door." Of course, Hunter had an advantage in understanding the mind of the American teenager, since he was only 17 years old when Island Records signed Playradioplay! to a record deal. Born and raised in Aledo, TX, Hunter began writing electronic music...
