Editors’ Notes

The epic structures, the increased voltage, the heavyweight grooves: Everything clicks on Led Zeppelin’s second album. By riding a single, violent chord to an explosive climax, “Whole Lotta Love” comes off like a grand finale—and it’s only the first cut.
