...like I need another hole in my head.

Certainly worth a listen to. Technically solid. But the vocals are almost a miss...
Another band out of Lancaster, PA that sounds just like ABR. There are now 3 certainties in life: death, taxes, and an ABR ripoff getting signed out of their home town every year.
If you're still upset that ABR "sold out" and stopped playing super heavy things then Ace Augustine is another solid band churning out breakdown after breakdown to fulfill all your metalcore desires.
"If you've been, there done that" with the revolving door of chug-thug bands then this is something you could easily pass on. Trust me, you aren't missing anything new.

Amazing

This band is one of the best to come out of the Lancaster PA area, and they prove it with this album. With an unbelievable amount of breakdowns and melodic chords, The Absolute is by far one of my favorite albums. You should expect many great things from this band in the future. By the way, BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

good start!

these guys are good, but they aren't great... yet... They still have a lot of maturing to do, but some of the riffs are promising. I'd challenge them to write in a different key and to not rely so heavily on breakdowns. It's cool to hear some of their tricks but it seems like they use them on multiple songs, which gets a little old after a while. If they'd just come up with a few more interesting ear candy ideas and get a little less "scene" and find themselves, they'll be successful. I look forward to the next release!
