not exactly stand-up
This should not be classified as stand-up. It's more of a slightly humorous spoken word album. If you're not an angsty 20-something living in LA, it's not worth 10 bucks.
Melinda Hill is a gift to comedy. I've seen her live several times and I can attest you've never heard anything like her before and "The Accidental Bisexual" is the recorded proof. Her stand-up stories are hysterical-- so witty and smart. She is an absolute original and I adore her. I feel privileged that I can see her live a lot in L.A. right now because soon she will be too big for the small clubs I see her at now. Trust me, stand-up fans, you don't want to miss the boat on this one! Discover Melinda now before your cool friends do it first!
Melinda's ability to tell a story is a true gift. You rarely come across anyone who can tell a story, make you laugh and keep you interested til the end.
She has that ability and beyond. Her talent as a writer shines through in this wonderfully entertaining CD.
Odd and unexpected lines follow each other as you learn tid bits of how one might have fallen into becoming the accidental bi-sexual.
I was so entertained by this.
Not since Mitch Hedburg have I listened to a modern day comedian and laughed out loud with audio only. As opposed to the Smothers Brothers on vinyl 30 years prior to this date in history.
A must have for those who enjoy laughing and hearing a story told well.
Thank you Melinda Hill for doing your thing and giving the gift of loud smiles.
