Very good!

In my opinion it's much better than Night is the New Day. Personally their best CD is The Great Cold Distance, and this is right up close to there. My only complaint, and it's not really much of a complaint, is that a lot of the songs sound the same. Depending on how you feel about the songs that could be a bad thing or, if you are like me and love it, then it could be a good thing. I'm sure that will be a problem with many people though. They don't stray much from the path with this, but that's not always a bad thing.

Album of the year!!

This is my choice for album I the year!
I have been a katatonia fan ever since the last fair deal gone down, and followed them ever since. This album has everything you could want from Katatonia. From the magnificent vocals, to the great electronic sounds. This is a killer album!

Dead end kings

Katatonia is my favorite band ever. That being said I am a tad biased in my opinion of this album. This seems like a continuation of night is a the new day and it's fantastic. Very dark and melancholic at times and uplifting and just plain rocking at others. I really dig how the atmospheric parts of the songs with subtle music and beats and vocals, flow effortlessly into the heavier catchy parts. Jonas may in fact possess the perfect voice for this dark and depressive music. Very excited to hear some more cool riffs as well and even a pretty ripping solo on what may be my favorite track 'Lethean'. Really just a big fan of these guys and anything they do and very happy with album #9 in a long line of great music.
