iTunes Review

Prince's soundtrack to Tim Burton's Batman creates a dark, edgy vibe that complements the movie's shadowy Gotham backdrop. A deep dose of funk, naturally, runs through the nine tracks, with the vicious "Partyman" lighting up a scene where the Joker gets wild, while the electro heartbeat of "Lemon Crush" moves the mood to the freaky side. Towering over the whole shebang is "Batdance," a slick mix of dance beats, wailing guitars, and vocal samples ranging from the wacky to the chilling.

Prince is Batman

This a great album!! Partyman is one of my favorite tracks on this album. If you're a Prince fan you'll like!!

Considered Guilty

"Ifamanisconsideredguiltyforwhatgoesoninhismindthengivemetheelectricchairforallmyfuturecrimes". Pure genius, said in one nonstop breath. Electric Chair gets 10 stars on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

I beg to differ

The album review accompanying this title is lame. There IS a classic on this record, a classic baby-makin' song if ever there were one, "Scandalous." Moreover, this is classic Prince, in line with his many other seductive songs like "International Lover," "When Doves Cry," and "Insatiable" just to name a few. There's some customary Prince funk on this album too. Do not, by any means, brush off "Batman."

Not only did he release a series of groundbreaking albums; he toured frequently, produced albums, and wrote songs for many other artists, and recorded hundreds of songs that still lie unreleased in his vaults. With each album he released, Prince showed remarkable stylistic growth...
