some of the best hip hop to come from BadBoy in a minute

Production is nice. Black Rob got his flow nice. Not much bling bling club bogus music...just street-hop. Nice job, Black.

The Real Report

Rating: 2 1/2 .......The 1st album was a great outing for the new MC. This album is fair/run of the mill, not even Biggie or Ness could make this a platinum success! Now there are a hand-full of good songs. If the album only had 12 songs on it then it would definitely go a notch (only one). The best songs to check-out are Smile..., Warrior, B.L.A.C.K., and Watch... and They Heard I got Life. This is not a album for the real backpackers or true gangstas, but if you are a MTV regular or a HUGE BR fan this will appear to be better than run-of-da-mill!...holla-at-ya-boy! - The H.A.Y.B.

The real breakdown!

Black Rob is an average artist that has all the potential to blow-up with the Bad Boy machine behind him. Rob's biggest challenge is going to be his voice! On the one hand, he has that raspy voice, that gives him that grimy street feel and appeal, on the other his monotone delivery is not enough to excite the listener; some range in the tone of his delivery, would draw the listener into what he spittin. Delivery plays a huge part in this game, and the listener has to be able to feel what is being delivered, and Black Rob is not gonna get felt by the listeners the way he should, or the way his label wants him too. Black Rob has a Desert Eagle, and two clips, but he cannot figure out how to get them in the gun! Meaning, Black Rob has the tools to do the job, he just does not know how to use them, and if he does not figure it out quickly, the next time Black Rob drops off the radar, it just might be for good!
