pure americana

pure americana. Here's a healthy chapter from the history lesson in the stuff of American Folk music.

The True, The Best, and The Original!!

This album "O-Brother - the search continues" is a compilation of true and original Old Time and country blues songs ranging from the 1920's to the early 1950's. (I Wish I Was a Mole In The Ground (1924), I'm A Man of Constant Sorrow(1950)). Many of these songs are by country music's most legendary artists like: The Carter Family, Jimmie Rogers, and Woody Guthrie. Along with deep blues legends like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, and Blind Lemon Jefferson. This is album is good enough to even be a sequel soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou! Great Job iTunes. The Only sore thing about it is some songs have poor sound quality, but other than that, it's all truly amazing ,and truly American.
