A man with a guitar and some stories to tell.. what an awesome talent. This guitarist was a musicians' musician and could touch the full range of human emotion through his guitar. This is a fair representation of his talent.

roy was the definition of the blues and its really sad that he isnt very well known he was one of the greatest guitarist ive ever heard and this album proves it from his hard blues hit of ''country boogie'' to his emotinal blues ''sunset over broadway'' this album has it all if your are a fan of roy this is the album for you

I actually borrowed this album from a library in Japan while stationed there with the US military. Wow, was I ever surprised! After listening to it for the first time, I was hooked. If you like blues guitar work, you will love Roy Buchanan!

Roy Buchanan has long been considered one of the finest, yet criminally overlooked guitarists of the blues rock genre whose lyrical leads and use of harmonics would later influence such guitar greats as Jeff Beck, his one-time student Robbie Robertson, and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. Although born in Ozark, AR, on September 23, 1939, Buchanan grew up in the small town of Pixley, CA. His father was both a farmer and Pentecostal preacher, which would bring the youngster his first exposure to gospel music...
