Impressed as usual!!

Can Nicolay ever make a bad record? To me, the answer is no!! I'm loving both of these songs and I can't wait for City Lights Vol. 3: Soweto!!


I love how Nicolay's style of production embraces the familiar, but clearly branches out--within reason--to touch new frontiers of sound. I don't even know what to call this style of music other than incredible. I also don't know what to do with myself while listening. Dance? Chill? Read The Economist? Throw something on the grill and invite people over? All of the above? In any case, I love this stuff.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, classically trained multi-instrumentalist and producer Nicolay played in a number of hip-hop and R&B bands around his homeland, but it wasn't until 2000 that he decided to start producing his own beats.
