iTunes Review

The Buffet drops the Pied Piper of R&B directly in the mix with current sounds. On “Wanna Be There” and “Anything Goes,” he rocks over stuttering hi-hats and gauzy synths, sending a message to the new school he influenced. There are nods to country and Caribbean styles (“Barely Breathin’” and “I Just Want to Thank You,” respectively, both on the deluxe version). But he knows what hardcore fans expect from him: to raise pillow talk to new levels. The Buffet delivers with NSFW anthems “Poetic Sex” and “Sextime.” He trades saucy metaphors with Juicy J on “Marching Band.” And just know that “Let’s Make Some Noise” isn’t about crowd participation. More comfort food arrives in step anthems “Backyard Party” and “Wake Up Everybody”—the kind of carefree summer jams that Kells does so well.

Undesputed King of R&B

After all these years, he still has the juice. Who’s still out and relevant from when he started in 1990? Nobody. What about in between? Mid 90s? Even early 2000s? R. Kelly is the Michael Jordan of music GOAT. Been a fan since age 5, I’m 30 now… #king

Disappointed Again!

R Kelly Stated On Several Interviews That HE Was Going To Give Everybody Something They Liked From His Past (Style Wise) And On This Entire Album There Is Nothing On Here Like The Bump in Grind, 12 Play, You Remind Me, Honey Love, Your Body’s Calling… He Only Touches On The Step Music Type Stuff He Did In The Past and Filled up The Rest With This New Future, Drake Trap Rap Singing Crap. Then He Crosses Over To A Rock Pop Tune With Is Not Very Catchy… He Also Borrows Barry Whites Style On A Track With The Same Type Of 2 Part Harmony Barry Was Known For, He Also Bit Barry’s Bridge Style. I Heard A Michael Jackson Bite and Marvin Gaye Bite As Well…. There Is 0 Originality in this Album… Keep In Mind That When R Kelly Came On The Scene He Did Bite Aaron Hall From Guy’s Style and He Ran With It Making It His Own,.. Thats Where He Should Have Stayed…. This Album Is Not Good….!!!!

ummmm….

How many songs can Juicy J ruin with his horrid verses? Seriously he has no lyrical skill. My second grader could do better...

Biography

Born: January 8, 1967 in Chicago, IL

Genre: R&B/Soul

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

R&B producer/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter R. Kelly and his supporting band Public Announcement began recording in 1992 at the end of the new jack swing era, yet he was able to keep much of its sound alive while remaining commercially successful. While he created a smooth, professional mixture of hip-hop beats, soulman crooning, and funk, the most distinctive element of Kelly's music is its explicit carnality. He was able to make songs like "Sex Me," "Bump n' Grind," "Your Body's Callin',"...
