not another sanctimonious fan

While opinions may certainly vary and while acknowledging that any reviewer has a right to their dislikes, I have to laugh at some of the comments here: a self-proclaimed "superfan" who states this album was not a "must-have"!?; the numerous complaints about the lack of banjos (there seems to be a set required limit); laments about the "electrifying" of TAB music (flashback of Dylan's "superfans"); and finally the dismissal of this presentation, and by extension the band itself as slick, overproduced and mainstream. SIGH. Hold off on the snap judgements and knee-jerk comparisons. Let this album stand on its own, give it time to marinate, actually listen to the lyrics. Their most defining music? Perhaps not. A clear indication of their continued growth, both spiritually and musically? Most certainly. An addition to the list of Best of 2012? Definitely.
From a longtime fan who may or may not be super.

Although siblings Scott (vocals, banjo) and Seth (vocals, guitar) began making music together as children, their group's genesis began when they were members of Nemo, a rock band that gigged regularly in Greenville, North Carolina.
