A Real Live One

A Real Live One

Recorded during Bruce Dickinson's 1993 farewell tour (he returned six years later), A Real Live One covers the 1986–'92 era. This was when the NWOBHM legends expanded their initial stripped-down, pummeling sound to include keyboards and extended conceptual suites without losing their essential menace. These songs regularly stretch past the five-minute mark, giving the triple-guitar lineup plenty of room for fiery solos and neck-snapping riffs behind Dickinson's call-and-response interactions with his devoted fans, turning tracks like "Bring Your Daughter...to the Slaughter" into unexpectedly upbeat sing-alongs.
