One of his best!

This is Ellis' first fan-funded album, and it's also one of his best! Amazing songs, each with its own storyline. The "Album Review" above was written as if the author were dissecting and grading an English term paper - I suggest you ignore it, it's irrelevant. Ellis Paul is one of the very finest folk singer-songwriters out there today, and his 19 albums demonstrate he has much to share with us. And he's one of the nicest, most approachable artists you'll find. Many thanks, Ellis, may you write and sing for us all forever.

REAL music right here, ladies and gentlemen

Whoever wrote that album review needs to be smacked! I don't know what he/she was listening to, but I certainly wasn't this masterpiece.
This album is so brilliant, so amazing, so moving, so REAL. I just love it.

This is a real treat, thank you!

Years ago I took a credited songwriting course (Summer Sessions) offered by PSU in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The teacher was Bob Gibson…I was young and had never heard of him. But when I was done I learned more about life than I ever thought a songwriter could offer. I still have a cassette recording of him in class playing "Looking for the you in Someone New" on banjo, a great song. It was important to him that we performed our songs live, so he took us out twice to a local bar and we students performed our songs along with him. He was a really hard working songwriter with a passion for his craft. It was obvious and could be seen during his performances.

Years later in New Jersey, I went to a John Gorka concert at Ramapo College and Ellis Paul was his (non-billed) opening act. I have to say, I nearly fell off my chair at what I witnessed. Ellis Paul has my deep respect as one of the hardest working and talented songwriters I've ever had the pleasure to hear. This album is a testament to the art of songwriting and Ellis Paul's continuous talent.
