Album Review

The first set of new music since 2011's scorching Place Where the Sun Is Silent, a concept album that was built around Edgar Allan Poe's last complete poem "Annabel Lee," the Decade EP finds the Raleigh, North Carolina-based screamo/post-hardcore outfit offering up a muscular seven-song set to honor their 10th anniversary as a band. The EP is also the first collection of music from the group to be released via the Razor & Tie imprint Artery Recordings.

A Real Review

The reviews on here are terrible so I'll actually talk about this EP and why it's worth buying.
This is probably some of the better music this band has put out which is saying a lot actually. It doesn't necessarily sound like something that would be in On Frail Wings but it definitely brings you back to that kind of style as they take a step back from the theatrics that was their last two albums (which are still good regardless). Since it's only an EP, I'd recommend buying it in full but if you wanted to sample it before the whole purchase, listen to Deja Vu and Double or Nothing. They are also kind of heavy in here as far as Alesana goes, and Shawn's choruses are catchier than ever. It's a real good piece of music and this band clearly hasn't lost their spark.

Finally!!! <3

I've been waiting for so long !!!! I love you guys<3 and all the amazing music you have created! (:
