Customer Reviews

Incredibly moving...excellent!!

When I was new in my walk with the Lord, I came across & purchased the albums, Home Where I Belong, by B.J. Thomas, (as well as an album by David Meece). Unfortunately, neither original collections can be purchased anymore. To this day, I'll put my original album, Home Where I Belong, on, and am instantly soothed by every one of the songs. They all still speak right to my heart. I would love to see the original albumn, Home Where I Belong, come out in its entirety on CD. (my album is getting a bit worn!) This Definitive Collection has a number of the songs, but some are not there, as well. Even so, if anyone wants music that makes one feel transported right to the feet of Jesus, this would be the best collection that's available of his right now.

In the modern christian era there has not been a voice that expresses through music a closeness to God, like B.J. Thomas' voice. I can honestly say I feel closer to God and at peace, when I listen to B.J. sing inspirational songs.

The definitive Collection

I remember when these songs first came out. I was then a very new christian, how I loved it then and now I find them again...BJ is great, he sings from his heart and life.

At the beginning of his career, he leaned more heavily on rock & roll, but by the mid-'70s, he had turned to country music, becoming one of the most successful country-pop stars of the decade. Thomas began singing while he was a child, performing in church. In his teens, he joined the Houston-based band the Triumphs, who released a number of independent...
