Awesome tribute to Day!

Flix Chris,

Scott Dreier's 2003 debut CD was and still one of my favorite CD's in my collection. Thus, I have been waiting with much anticipation for his follow up and the moment is finally here. I know The Doris Day Project has been both a very passionate and personal project for Dreier and the result here is a lovingly, brilliantly sung/performed tribute to one of the finest singer/artists of our time. First of all, much praise to both Dreirer and Kurtis Simmons for the the care in bringing these classics and standards to beautiful life. It's a collaborative effort of highest order with fine musicians and really sharp, creative arrangements by Joe DiBlasi. Of course, the heart of this wonderful CD is Dreier, a fine singer who gives his all bring both loving care and passionate spark to these Day classics. Each cut is filled with warm and well-crafted charm. I love the appropriate subtly given to well-known favorites such as "Secret Love, My Buddy/The Way You Look Tonight and Little Girl Blue." There's also wonderful soul and kick to "Shaking the Blues Away and Close Your Eyes" My two favorites of this strong group are Dreier's take on This Can't Be Love (sung with such beauty and conviction) and gentle, ballad take to the Oscar winning Que Sera, Sera that manages to be both appropriate homage to Day but also a fresh update to a classic song. Scott Dreier once again displays fine voice, beautiful interpretation with passion, soul and much love and conviction. I can't think of a better tribute to Day and a treat to all fans of fine music!

Doris All & Every Day

WOW! This album is a true assorment of fun, delight and magic. Although these songs have lived before with many a singer and especially with Doris Day - Scott's vocals and his team of musicians provide a fresh approach that is truly a work of art. Such vocal finesse and tenderness with Secret Love, Little Girl Blue and Que Sera, Sera.... Each arrangement is masterful, seamless and cohesive. The instrumentation compliment Scott's vocals in perfect harmony. His endearment to Doris is clear - yet his heart shines as his voice weaves through each melody with sincere grace. I'm honestly blown away by every note and so happy to experience this collection. So many parts here - Jass, Big Band, Broadway and more. I enjoy so many genres of music - and this one will be a favorite for years. Scott - this album is Grammy Worthy....my ears are hypnotized!!
