Customer Reviews

It is strange....

...that two of the best CDs of 06-07 have the word "void" in their title. ("Hands Across the Void" and "Song and Void") This may be a random coincidence, or it may say something about our times, whatever the case is, I feel blessed that I found these records. This is bound to be a classic. That sweet voice, great recording, and great songs. Can't wait for more.

A Very Pleasant Find

I have to say, I actually JUST discovered this band through the iTunes spotlight of "indie songwriters," but even so I am totally entranced by Tiny Vipers' sound. Really excellent. Very mellow and very good for just chilling out. Maybe someday bands like this will make it onto the top 10 lists. wishful thinking!

Excellent and heartfelt!

This album carries much emotion in the lyrics and sound. I saw them in concert with The Helio Sequence and Minus the Bear, who were totally differing in sound. This being said, I don't feel as though I was prepared for such a deep album. It was a very pleasant surprise, as I bought "Hands Across the Void" as soon as their set was over. If you enjoy the acoustic, study music, or relaxing genres, this is your album. Even if you don't think you like it with the first listen, do try again, as you will love this album to death.

Though she played in a few bands, Fortino found she worked better on her own, and began releasing Tiny Vipers albums — including one that consisted of a single 30-minute song — and playing local shows. A friend working at Sub...
