Full disclosure: I've been a Basement Jaxx fan since Remedy. But this truly is a case where the soundtrack contributes SO heavily to the momentum of the film, that you want to immediately purchase it after seeing the film (which is exactly what I did). Though if you are on a budget and can only find it in your heart to purchase one track, make it The Ends. Well worth your $.99.....believe, bruv.
If you're a fan of electronic music with cinematic, orchestral overtones, you MUST BUY THIS! I had thought Daft Punk's score for TRON: LEGACY and the HANNA OST by The Chemical Brothers were untouchable in this arena, but in my opinion, this collaboration by Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe (of Basement Jaxx) and Steve Price is the best of the bunch. Been bangin' it in the headphones under my motorbike helmet when I ride... it's the perfect soundtrack for action!
perfect CARPENTER-esque sci-fi explosion
just fantastic. simple, clean, just enough bass to keep it urban, just enough fuzzy synths to keep it sci-fi. other reviewers are right in comparing it to Hanna and Tron Legacy.
