Editors’ Notes

Willie Nelson's signature tunes are well known (“Always on My Mind,” “Funny How Time Slips Away,” “On the Road Again,” “Crazy”), his vocal phrasings unmistakable (“Georgia On My Mind,” “The Party’s Over”), and even in his most earnest longings, he finds sad truths and moments of humor (“Hello Walls”). This 2003 collection is a solid entry, featuring every aspect of the man’s influence and career.

Customer Reviews

Prior to this album I had never been a Willie fan. Now I believe he is an absolute legend. The entire album is an excellent relaxing, fun, trip.

Who sings with him on Mammas don't let you babies grow up to be cowboys though? I miss the old days when you could see who was singing on the album, who wrote the song, all the words, who cleaned the studio, who catered, etc.

The Essential Willie Nelson

Some of these tracks can ONLY be sung by Willie! Blue Skies,Georgia.....this album is a must own.
