I've been into musicals for the past few years in a big way, but I never bothered to look twice at Oklahoma until I saw a presentation of the 1998 London version on PBS one night. I have to admit, my first reason to watch was "OMG Hugh Jackman!", but what really hooked me was the genuine beauty of this production. Hugh Jackman's Curly is sexy and very lovable, and his singing is superb. Vivacious Laurie, played by Josefina Gabrielle, is charming, and her chemistry with Hugh was noteworthy. Aunt Eller, played by Maureen Lipman, had me in stitches for most of the performance. The whole cast was solid and played beautifully, and the whole thing was so amazing that I went out a day later and bought the DVD and a few weeks later got the soundtrack off iTunes. This is a wonderful, funny, frightening, moving piece of work, and a good addition for any musical lover's library. Oklahoma, OK!

Oklahoma OK!

Im currently in Oklahoma and I got to say I am very pleased with this soundtrack. For those who dont know, the lead in this particular casting for Oklahoma is Hugh Jackman (Wolverine in X-Men). This soundtrack even contains "Its a Scandal" and "Lonely Room", which are usually cut from most productions. The energy and singing is great! Oklahoma is a must for any actor or fan of the theater.

Great Play and Album!

I watched this play, and it was one of the best plays I have ever seen. The cast was wonderful and great in their parts. It also doesn't hurt that Hugh Jackman starred, he's so hot! The album is great, and I would recommend the songs "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'", "People Will Say We're In Love", and "All Er Nothin".
