Music beyond words....

Listening to this you get the sense that this guy and his band are trully blessed! Add a dash of Jeff and the Man upstairs to your iPod, you'll be glad you did!

Why haven't we heard more of this guy?

In a culture of sparkles and glitz and pop that oozes like some disease between every open space in our lives, we need men/lyricists/musicians like Jeff Johnson. Sure, there's great music with edgy guitars and thoughtful, skilled playing, but what's more important is what he says through the depth of conviction that's found in the lyrics and his voice. We need to hear more from CCM like this. If I want the world, I'll go to the world. If I want to be challenged, uplifted and, dare I say, even taught a little theology, I'll pick up an album from this man. Thank you, Jeff, for a true ministry to the Bride of Christ.

Jeff Johnson grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and although he attended church every Sunday with his family, his place in the whole religion and Christian music thing didn't really take hold until much later when he was a junior at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, when he attended a Christian music festival in Austin, Texas.
