I Absolutely HATE Black Metal...

BUT! This band actually has all the vocals that fit the music and they are really melodic for the genre of music!! Definitely worth it. Best songs are Daggers and Ice and Demons of the Night. <( "<)

Dragonforce Black Metal Style... Quite Literally!!!

Believe it or not, the guitarists in this band are actually Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. After this record was released, every member of the band except for singer/bassist Lidsay Dawson went on to form DF. Dawson actually makes a guest appearence on Inhuman Rampage (he is the one who does the backround scream vocals on that album). But enough backstory. This album is very good, embodying the cheerful, over-the-top spirit of Dragonforce, with Black metal screams. The album is a complete oxymoron, in that it is uplifting in the most ballcrushing way possible. The first time you hear "The Eagle Spreads It's Wings", I am positive you will laugh your a** off. As you continue to listen to it though, it really is a very satisfying work of art like no other. There are certain areas that may remind you of Children of Bodom in some ways. For those wondering what to call this brand of music, it is Blackened Power Metal. The best songs on the album are Daggers and Ice, and Demoniac Spell. And for any haters out there, Herman and Sam do not, and never have, sped up their music. Go see them live yourself, and try to prove me wrong. Fun Fact: The front cover is very blurred out, but it is actually the picture of Sam Totman doing a girl from behind, chugging a beer, and giving the middle finger at the same time.

So I found out today about this band via metalsucks they were talking about dragonforce and how they were in this band, so I decided to check them out, and my god my mind was blown away with what i heard and I decided hey let's go to iTunes and see if they have any of their albums. Turns out they did and I'm telling you what as soon as I get a iTunes card I'm buying this whole f8472720 album just cause I can and how epic this is, and how blown away my mind was from listening to "the eagle spreads his wings" I hadn't expected that at all, but this is worth it

Formed: 1993 in New Zealand

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '90s

Demoniac originated as a black metal band in New Zealand, circa 1993, but following a pair of demos ("The Birth of Diabolical Blood" and "Moonblood") and the release of their first album, Prepare for War, the following year, vocalist Behemoth (real name Lindsay Dawson), guitarist Heimdall (Sam Totman), and drummer Adramolech relocated to London, England, where they proceeded to reinvent the group under a more melodic mindset. 1996's Stormblade initiated this transformation with its heroic power metal...
