iTunes Review

Kelsea Ballerini knows exactly what she wants in a relationship: no wimps. Opener "XO" calls out a guy who can't get over his ex, then "Peter Pan" does the same with one who refuses to grow up. Both songs skip through sparkling country-pop arrangements, seamlessly layering banjo licks with rock guitars and laptop effects. The combination is contemporary, not disruptive, and she revels in it on the effervescent "Love Me Like You Mean It," a skittering, hook-filled kiss-off to another doofus who can't commit. She deserves better.

Bubblegum Southern Pop

She's a pop singer with a country accent. Her songs sound like something a 15 year old would sing..Thank you to Taylor Swift for dumping your southern clone on us :/

So excited!

I can't wait to listen to this on repeat. I have been waiting to preorder and even though I haven't head the entire album yet I know it'll get five stars from me.

All the songs sound the same...boring.

Not impressed. There is no depth to this album whatsoever. The only reason this artist is all the rage right now is because Nashville is desperate to condition the buying market to believe she is the next Taylor Swift & the next breakthrough female artist country music is so starving for. Bad news, Nashville. It's not her. This sugary album sure isn't country,& it's not even original. All the songs sound exactly alike. There is no depth or originality. Save your money on this one folks, especially if you're over 21. This music is no more than RadioDisney preteen fodder or background music for a Nickelodeon show. It's most certainly not for country radio, or worth any more time spent than the 15 minutes of fame it's generating. Or the 15 minutes it takes to skip through this album & ask for a refund.
