iTunes Editors’ Notes

What would a contemporary teen soap opera be without a well-chosen sampling of introspective ballads and effusive rock-pop to embroider the hopes, fears and triumphs of its characters? This third installment of music for cable's One Tree Hill is immediately anchored in that tradition by the angst-ridden urgency of Dashboard Confessional's "Don't Wait" and "Stay Away" by The Honorary Title, while star Tyler Hilton offers up another slice of expected acoustic sensitivity via "You'll Ask For Me." But other performances here gratifyingly begin to push the show's musical envelope beyond familiar formula via the pop effervescence of The Kooks' "Naïve," Lupe Fiasco's hip-hop-lite "I Gotcha" and Gym Class Heroes retooling the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" into spare, street-smart shuffle. Elsewhere, the emo-introspective indie sensibilities that drive the series' music are variously retrenched by the The Constantines' "Soon Enough" and Lucero's "Tell Me What It Takes," or liberated by the soaring harmonies of the Wreckers' bracing "Lay Me Down."

Customer Reviews

Great Soundtrack...Great Show

I don't actually own this CD as of now, but I've heard the songs before. My favorites are Don't Wait and Non-Believer. This is a must-have for any One Tree Hill fanatic OR someone looking for some great music to listen to.

Amazing Music

First of all the music from this show is amazing. I'll find myself watching it and singing along to the background music or going on here the next day to buy whatever song I heard the night before. When I found out that they were releaseing a new soundtrack I was so excited! The songs on here are amazing. Actually some of them I already own. My personal highlights for this would be Don't Wait by Dashboard Confessional, World Spins Madly On by the Weepies and Non-Believer by La Rocca though all the songs are truly worthy for this CD. I hope all One Tree Hill lovers and Music lovers alike enjoy this Soundtrack.

The songs on these are original and moving. It's cheesy I know, but lyrics literally speak to you and they are just enjoyable songs to listen to. "World Spins Madly On," "You'll Ask for Me," and "Good Vibrations" are amazing! If you ever have the chance to read the booklet for this CD, Mark Schwahn's lote is literally one of the best things I have ever read. Basically, all this rambling jumble is me telling you to BUY THIS CD, it's TOTALLY worth it!
